Paulo Cesar Basta is MD and DSc in Public Health. Currently, Dr. Basta works at the National School of Public Health (ENSP, acronym in Portuguese) of Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (Fiocruz). Dr. Basta conduct researches in Public Health and Epidemiology field, especially focusing in infectious diseases, environmental health and mercury-Hg poisoning in the Amazon region. Their current projects cover Tuberculosis among Indigenous populations, as well as impacts to the community health due Hg poisoning.
