Dr. Sunate Chuenkitmongkol

Dr. Sunate Chuenkitmongkol is a medical doctor with extensive experience in vaccine development. As the Deputy Director at Thailand's National Vaccine Institute (NVI), she has worked extensively with many vaccine experts from the Ministry of Public Health (MOPH) on the Expanded Programme for Immunization (EPI), which is led by the Advisory Committee on Immunization Programme (ACIP). Her expertise spans program management, decision-making processes, and technical assistance, crucial for advancing Thailand’s EPI programs. Dr. Sunate is a key promoter of the ASEAN Vaccine Security and Self-Reliance (AVSSR) initiative, focusing on enhancing regional vaccine security through strategic collaborations. She has elevated the vaccine security issue to an international level, actively engaging in global platforms and forming bilateral collaborations with entities such as CEPI, WHO, UNICEF, and the International Vaccine Institute (IVI), to mobilize collective capacities in support of vaccine security.
