Professor of clinical microbiology and antimicrobials, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana.
He is a Clinical Microbiologist from the Pontifical Javeriana University in Bogotá, Colombia, where he is a professor of antimicrobials in the undergraduate and graduate programs in medical microbiology. He is also a professor of the residency in infectious diseases at the Universidad del Rosario.
He currently directs the proficiency test in microbiology of PROASECAL, is a member of the CLSI antimicrobial susceptibility testing subcommittee in the United States.
His interests include antimicrobial susceptibility testing and rapid microbiological diagnostic techniques applied to antibiotic management (Antimicrobial Stewardship).
