Dr. Martha Ospina

Physician, scientist, and epidemiologist. Special Advisor on Global Health at Florida International University. From 2016 to 2022, she served as general director of the National Institute of Health of Colombia. Ospina has been awarded the following prizes: special portfolio award 2020, exemplary Colombian 2021 in health, and woman of the year in health 2021 for her leadership and important role in monitoring and controlling the pandemic caused by COVID-19 in Colombia. Featured on the cover of Credencial magazine, as "The woman of hard data" she was the first woman to hold the position of general director at the National Institute of Health (Colombia) in 101 years of history.
