Public Health Researcher, Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ), Brazil

PhD in Computational Modeling, in the line of research in Bioinformatics, from the National Laboratory of Scientific Computing (Petrópolis, RJ), institution where he also obtained a Master's degree. Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the Federal University of Bahia. He completed part of his scientific training at the Fachhochschule Gelsenkirchen (undergraduate sandwich program), in Gelsenkirchen, Germany; at the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1, in Lyon, France (master's sandwich program); and at the University of Buenos Aires, in Buenos Aires, Argentina (doctorate sandwich program). Since 2005, he has been developing research in the area of ​​bioinformatics and genomics/transcriptomics applied to the study of clinically relevant pathogens. He currently holds a position as a Public Health Researcher at the Oswaldo Cruz Foundation (FIOCRUZ), Instituto Gonçalo Moniz (IGM) unit, working with the Center for Data Integration and Knowledge for Health (CIDACS). Member of the Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (AB3C), in which he also participates in the Management Group of the North/Northeast Region, aiming at the dissemination and training in Bioinformatics in these regions.
