Pablo Iván Pereira Ramos

PhD in Computational Modeling, in the line of research in Bioinformatics.

Biologist from the Federal University of Bahia and PhD in Computational Modeling from the National Scientific Computing Laboratory (Petrópolis, RJ).   Pablo develops interdisciplinary projects in the area of ​​computational biology using large genomic databases, applying them to the study of infectious diseases, emerging and re-emerging pathogens and the pathogen-host interface. He is a member of the Brazilian Association of Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (AB3C), collaborates with national and international groups, and is particularly interested in strengthening research within the scope of South-South cooperation, to this end getting involved in collaborations on projects and organizing training and workshops with researchers from Argentina, Uruguay and Peru. He has been a researcher at Fiocruz since 2015. In 2023, he became deputy coordinator of Cidacs.
