Prof. Rodriguez-Morales, MD, MSc, DTM&H, DipEd, FRSTM&H(Lon), FFTM RCPS(Glasg), FACE, FISAC, HonDSc, has dedicated his short-life career to the study of infectious, tropical, and parasitic diseases and public health. He has long-term interests in anthropozoonosis and parasitic diseases. His research interests include Chagas disease, leishmaniasis, malaria, dengue, toxocariasis, soil-transmitted helminths, tuberculosis, HIV/AIDS, among other related diseases. Also, on SARS-CoV-2/COVID-19 and Mpox. This Colombo-Venezuelan researcher based in Colombia, linked also to institutions in Peru and Lebanon, is an editor/member of the editorial board of different major international journals in the area such as Journal of Infection in Developing Countries, Travel Medicine and Infectious Diseases (EiC), Annals of Clinical Microbiology and Antimicrobials, Infectio, Revista Peruana de Medicina Experimental y Salud Publica. He has more than 800 articles in journals indexed in ISI/Medline/Scopus and his citations account for a Scopus h-index=63.
