Dr. Daniel Salas

Former Minister of Public Health of Costa Rica from November 28, 2018 to April 29, 2022. He has a master's degree in Public Health with an emphasis in Management and a Master's Degree in Epidemiology from the National University of Costa Rica.

He was Director of Health Marketing, coordinator of Surveillance of Chronic Non-communicable Diseases, and director of Health Surveillance of the Ministry of Public Health.

On September 30, 2019, he was elected president of the 57th Directing Council of the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO).
