COVID-19 Protocol
The health and safety of attendees is our top priority. It is strongly advised that individuals attending the conference wear a face covering indoors and wash their hands frequently.
The venue will have hand sanitizing stations.
In order to mitigate impact of COVID-19, Florida International University adheres to updated guidelines issued by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

Monkeypox Guidance
Cases of monkeypox are on the rise, both in Florida and across the country. On August 4, the Biden administration declared monkeypox a public health emergency.
While the risk of monkeypox to the general population remains low, it is important that everyone is informed about this disease and remains vigilant. According to the CDC, the disease spreads through close, personal, often skin-to-skin contact.
Symptoms of monkeypox include:
- Fever
- Headache
- Muscle aches and backache
- Swollen lymph nodes
- Chills
- Exhaustion
- Respiratory symptoms, such as sore throat, nasal congestion, or cough
A rash that may be located on or near the groin or genitals but could also be on other areas like the hands, feet, chest, face, or mouth. The rash looks like pimples or blisters.
